Ballarat talent will take centre stage during Isol-Aid this weekend, with some of Victoria’s best emerging and established acts gracing the live-streamed Instagram festival’s 29th line-up.
Taking place this Sunday, October 4, Isol-Aid #29 has been curated in part by the City of Ballarat, who have selected to Inka, The Thing From Spring, Macy Rose, Milla & Geoffrey Williams, Connor Toomey and Skyscraper Stan with Mon Couer to feature.
The rest of the bill continues to celebrate Victorian talent, with Melbourne musician El Tee, who recently launched her debut album, Everything Is Fine, enlisting Maple Glider, Elsie Lange, Poppongene, Georgia Knight and Huntly to join her on this weekend’s line-up.
“It's been really exciting to partner with Isol-Aid as it provides a platform to showcase our local artists doing big things,” program curators Abby Ashmore and Sarah Barclay said.
“Victoria's live music scene has been hit hard this year and Ballarat did not miss that hit. Being able to be part of hosting an online festival brings a sense of normality back to booking line-ups.
“At the same time, it also looks into the future of technological possibilities for live music. Teaming with Isol-Aid gives us an opportunity to support our local artists through COVID-19 and play to a wider community they wouldn't have been able to reach during restrictions. Regional artists are often overlooked and Isol-Aid bridges the gap they would normally face to break into the wider music scene.”
As always, Isol-Aid is free to stream, but those tuning in are asked to support the artists where possible via a donation.
