Independent music industry conference Indie-Con returns next month, with organisers today revealing the 2020 program.
Taking place as an online event from October 1-2, this year’s conference will explore creativity and business during COVID through topics including live-streaming, releasing music in lockdown and maximising revenue streams.
Also on the schedule is international pathways for labels, new wave A&R, music as part of developing gaming and technology, diversity and inclusion policies for labels, codes of conduct and more.
“The South Australian Government is proud to be a major supporter of Indie-Con and while this year’s conference is virtual, we look forward to welcoming AIR and the independent music sector back to Adelaide next year,” Minister for Innovation and Skills David Pisoni said.
Indie-Con will once again coincide with the AIR Awards, taking place on October 1 via a special one-hour special broadcast on YouTube from 8pm ACST.
