Two men have been arrested over the fatal shooting of Run-DMC member Jam Master Jay, aka Jason Mizell, in 2002.
As BBC reports, Ronald Washington and Karl Jordan have been charged with the murder of the DJ, who was shot and killed in his New York City studio almost two decades ago.
It’s alleged that the accused were acquaintances of Mizell and the shooting was a "drug-related homicide".
"They walked in and murdered him in cold blood," Seth DuCharme, Acting US Attorney for the Eastern District of New York, said.
"We started investigating that case a very long time ago, in the early 2000s, but there were a lot of challenges in bringing that case.”
Washington is currently in federal prison over a string of robberies.
Following the death of Mizell, who was 37 at the time, Run-DMC disbanded.
