The outback Queensland town of Winton will come alive again next April with the return of Way Out West Fest.
After taking a year off in 2020, organisers have announced that the festival will make a comeback next year, with a to-be-announced line-up hitting Winton from 8-11 April.
Music industry veterans Jeff Chandler and Greg Shaw will oversee next year’s event.
“Greg and I are delighted to be chosen by Winton Shire Council as producers of the Winton’s Way Out West Fest,” Chandler said
“While the COVID-19 crisis has certainly presented some challenges to the festival and tourism industries, the silver lining is that Australians will be eager to explore the parts of their own country they are yet to visit, and the legendary Outback town of Winton will no doubt be high on their wish list.”
Last year’s festival featured Amy Shark, Brett Eldredge, Jon Pardi, San Cisco, Lime Cordiale and more.
The first artist announcement is slated for October 12, with tickets on sale the same day.
