Native Tongue Publishing have announced their latest signing today, Melbourne group Thornhill

The alt metalcore group have been building a following over the past few years, playing a slew of supports and releasing their debut album The Dark Pool last year.

“Thornhill’s debut album The Dark Pool felt like a game changer for heavy music in Australia," said Native Tongue’s Head of Creative Services Matt Tanner of the signing.

"We were struck by Ethan and Jacob’s genuine desire to push the boundaries of their sound. We’re excited to be working with Thornhill as they dive deep into their follow up."

“We are glad to be working with Jaime, Matt and the rest of the team at Native Tongue," added the band.

"We’re looking forward to having them on board during the writing process for our next album and helping us make the most of our downtime while shows are off the table."

It's been a big year for the group, which was also bolstered by this triple j glitch and the group being one of 20 acts to join the new Destroy All Lines agency.

Native Tongue's Jaime Gough and Matt Tanner featured on The Music's Power 50 list earlier this year, read their profile here.
