Major international heavyweights including Ed Sheeran, Michael Bublé, Katy Perry and Keith Urban, as well as Australia's own Amy Shark, will take part in a new live-streamed event honouring local workers who have been essential during the COVID pandemic.
Nova and smoothFM will host the broadcast on Saturday 20 June, with the first batch of names being the first of over 20 artists to be involved in the 'Thank You Concert'.
Fans will only be able to view the show by being nominated by someone in the community.
“This special live stream music event has been created to celebrate our essential workers and all that they have done to help Australians during this global health crisis," NOVA Entertainment’s Chief Programming & Marketing Officer, Paul Jackson, said today.
"We are so grateful that the artists involved are so giving of their time, showing their Australian fans how much they mean to them. It is Nova and smoothfm’s way of allowing listeners to say thank you to special people in their lives – through a music experience curated especially for them.
"Together with live performances, exclusive interviews and reliving some of the best moments from Nova’s Red Room and smooth Feel Good Night With, Nova and smoothfm’s Thank You Concert is set to be one special event.”
The full line-up will be revealed on Nova’s Kate, Tim & Marty drive show and with Simon Diaz on smoothfm on Friday 5 June from 3pm.
