Stacks of new artists have been confirmed for this weekend’s live-streamed Recharge 2020 Festival with the announcement of a second stage being added.

With Tones & I, Missy Higgins, The Black Sorrows, The Jezabels and more announced for the inaugural event last week, organisers have now added The Paddock stage (hosted by Theatre Royal in Castlemaine), which will broadcast live via the Delivered, Live and Recharge Victoria Facebook pages this Sunday, May 17.

The Paddock stage will host Adalita, Nancie Schipper, The Soultanas, Pete Denahy, Weeping Willows, Rich Davies & The Low Road, Liv Cartledge, Sherri Parry, Matt Chapman, Honey Hunter, Northern Folk and Woodland Hunters.

“The creative industries are always the first asked in times of crisis to support causes and have always come to the party, this crisis means it’s now time that they received support and recognition for their work,” Delivered, Live co-promoters Leigh Treweek and Craig Treweek said.

“Delivered, Live has created the opportunity for the Victorian Government and the audience to show their support and they have in droves we are incredibly proud to be the platform for this to happen.”

Kicking off at 12:00pm AEST on the day, Recharge 2020 Festival will not only shine a spotlight on local music but some of the best food and drink from across the state, with hosts Myf Warhurst and Henry Wagons set to “tour” fresh food markets, while acclaimed chef Adrian Richardson conjures up meals from local produce.

Viewers will also be able to buy fresh produce and beverages that take their fancy during the online tour, alongside 200+ vendors on the Recharge Vic website, all of which will be collected and delivered by festival crew members whose work has been affected by the COVID pandemic.

While the event will be streamed for free via YouTube and Facebook Live (both stages occupying a different platform so you can jump between them like you’re at an actual festival!), viewers are able to purchase tickets at whatever price they can afford via the Delivered, Live website.
