Fanny Lumsden Drops New Album, Announces Australian Tour

Australian country artist Fanny Lumsden has dropped her much-lauded new album today, along with news of a national tour in May.

Sticking to her DIY guns, Lumsden's third LP Fallow was recorded almost entirely in a stone hut just a hop skip and a jump from her Tooma Valley home and has been released on her own label, Red Dirt Road Records.

Overflowing with messages of hope born from Lumsden's own recent personal tragedies and triumphs, it's as restorative an album as can be found in the turbulent opening months of 2020.

As she told The Music in a recent interview, "So many people around me were having a hard time that I just wanted to create something that was about green grass and running water and beautiful valleys. I think people just want to have an escape, me included."

Lumsden's eight-date run will start in Sydney on 1 May, stopping in Brisbane, Melbourne and Canberra as well as several regional locations.
