imbi

Melbourne's imbi is an "artist making their mark on the world with unapologetic truth, self-service, self-belief and self-love". Their flawless combination of the rhythmic and the melodic is an aural delight, and makes the musician unmissable at BMF 2020. Support for the night comes in the form of the incredible neo-soul singer Queen Daddy. Follow the link here for more details.

Elizabeth

Casting herself as "a glamorous tragic, a queer pop anti-heroine,” Melbourne's Elizabeth is launching her debut LP, The Wonderful World Of Nature, as part of BMF. Garnering rave reviews for her incredibly poignant lyricism and jarring vulnerability, Elizabeth Mitchell is quickly gaining traction as one of the must-see performers on the Melbourne scene. Along with the launch of the album, Mitchell has recruited a slew of incredible support acts to fill out the night. She’ll be joined by alt singer-songwriter Chitra, genre-melter Katie Dey, and pop-soul artist Eilish Gilligan. Follow the link here for more details.

Live At The Library

In one of the more ironic shows at BMF, loud punk four-piece Pinch Points are taking over the Brunswick Library to break the silence as only they can. After flooring the crowd as the opening band at Golden Plains 2020, the quartet will shake the stacks with their one-of-a-kind blend of biting and tongue-in-cheek tunes. The show is a free gig as the band double-headlines alongside shimmering dream-pop outfit Tender Buttons. The washy, ethereal sounds from the group are a far cry from their distorted counterpart, but the paired bands will definitely make for a unique experience. Follow the link here for more details.
