Mental health and wellbeing charity Support Act has announced a live benefit concert.
Taking place at Sydney's Paddington RSL on 5 April, members of The Church, The Go-Betweens and more will come together for Support Act Live! to help artists, crew and music workers in need.
All money raised will go to Support Act which provides "crisis relief and mental health and wellbeing services to people in the music community who are doing it tough".
The benefit is also being held in conjunction with Roady4Roadies, CrewCare’s national day of awareness.
“Musicians and their crews need help too!" the events said producers in a statement.
"Music industry professionals may seem to be invincible and unbreakable, through relentless scheduling and over burdening commitments, in an always more challenging industry economy… until the inevitable happens, they break, in some cases, taking years to recover, if at all.”
Confirmed to be performing on the night include The Church's Steve Kilbey; actor John Jarratt; Jade MacRae; The Go-Betweens' Amanda Brown and Lindy Morrison; Aya Larkin; Simon Lobelson; Terry Serio; Gangajang's Mark Callaghan; and gospel choir Café At The Gates of Salvation.
They will be supported by a backing band made up of Baby Animals' Dave Leslie; Rick Grossman, of Divinyls and Hoodoo Gurus; Lucy Desoto; The Venetians' David Skeet; Paul Berton; Barton Price; and Roger Mason.
