Dew Process has named Alex Young its new General Manager, among a number of other staff changes.

Young has been promoted following four years as the label’s Head of Marketing, working closely with local artists Mallrat, Eves Karydas, Tkay Maidza, WAAX and Tired Lion, and international acts such as Sam Fender and The Beths.

“We have had a fantastic few years with a new wave of Dew Process artists and I am extremely proud of the results we have been able to achieve not just here in Australia, but the inroads we’ve made internationally whether it’s Mallrat performing on James Corden, Tkay touring Europe with Princess Nokia or WAAX storming the US college radio charts,” Dew Process CEO Paul Piticco said.

“Alex has been a huge part of this success and I look forward to continue working with her closely as she leads the team into an exciting year ahead”.

Young added: “I am very honoured to move into the role of GM at Dew Process, where I have enjoyed working closely with one of the most experienced and nurturing label teams in the country for the past 4 years.

“We are a very tight-knit and passionate group and I look forward to continue working with Paul, our partners at Secret Sounds and Universal Music, and leading us into one of our biggest release years ever."

Head of A&R and Executive Producer John Mullen will continue in his current role overseeing A&R Managers Harry Young and Nathan Wood, who will now both look after domestic A&R and international licensing.

Meanwhile, Casey Loveday has been promoted from Marketing Coordinator to Marketing Manager, while the company takes applications for the newly created position of Content & Community Coordinator.

Fergus Jenkins will continue his role overseeing sync for the label as well as his duties as GM for Dew Process Publishing.

The changes come as Dew Process prepares for another big year, with debut albums from Mallrat, Tyne-James Organ and Sly Withers expected alongside new music from Mumford & Sons, Tired Lion, London Grammar, Tkay Maidza, Eves Karydas and more.
