Wollongong’s Farmer & The Owl Festival has added local rockers The Chats to its fast-approaching 2020 event.
The Queensland trio have been added to the February 29 event following news last week that UK band Fat White Family cancelled their Australian tour, and accompanying slot on the festival, due to the Coronavirus.
“Here we go again, yet another time NSW has reached out to QLD to come save the day,” The Chats said.
“We have been sitting on the sideline waiting for the call-up and finally, it’s come, not unlike when Billy Moore came on off the bench in game three in 1992 to score a try and take the state of origin out of the grasp of the Blues, The Chats have come to save the day!”
The Chats join Hot Chip, Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats, Sleaford Mods, Weyes Blood and more on the 2020 Farmer & The Owl line-up.
Their addition to the festival follows an interesting performance on Today earlier this month.
