WA all ages event Hyperfest will make its return this year with a star-studded local line-up following a two-year break.

Organisers behind the Midland-based event announced its cancellation in late 2018 due to “poor ticket sales”, but it will return in March as two events.

The first event, which will be free entry, will take place at Locale on March 13 with Great Gable, Arno Faraji, Demon Days, Ghost Care and Muscle Club, before Mallrat, Baker Boy, Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, Spacey Jane, Clowns, Jai Waetford, DJ Denim, Alter Boy and Phoneline Valentine take over the venue the following day for a ticketed show.

"We're really stoked to be bringing Hyper back this year,” Hyper Team volunteer Kahlee Lengkeek told The Music.

“We've listened to feedback, regrouped, and we think we've got something really exciting to offer over the two events this March."
