Tones & I's record-breaking ARIA chart reign may have ended last weekend, but the Byron Bay-based singer isn’t done yet, today reclaiming her place at #1 in Australia.
After 21 weeks at #1 on the ARIA Singles chart, Tones & I’s global hit song, Dance Monkey, was dethroned by Mariah Carey's 1994 holiday classic, All I Want For Christmas Is You, but with Christmas now well and truly done, the local act has moved back up to the top spot.
Over on the Albums chart, Harry Styles has also returned to #1 following an influx of Christmas releases dominating in recent weeks, with his latest LP, Fine Line, reclaiming the top spot.
The only album to debut in the top 20 this week is Jackboys & Travis Scott’s Jackboys (#5), following news that Scott would be playing Coachella this year alongside Flume, Sampa The Great, The Chats and other Aussie Acts.
Meanwhile, John Williams’ Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker soundtrack has debuted at #25, following a slew of negative film reviews last year.
Back over the Singles chart, New Zealand singer-songwriter Benee’s Glitter debuts, while Dua Lipa’s Don't Start Now (#2), Arizona Zervas’ Roxanne (#3) and Maroon 5’s Memories (#4) all make their way back up the chart.
