Following a huge debut on the Australian charts last week, King Gizzard & The Lizard's new album Fishing For Fishies has proved to be a hit with US fans.
The Melbourne psych rockers' 14th record has debuted at #1 on the US Billboard Tastemakers Albums chart, as well as #2 on the Vinyl Albums list, after it cracked #1 on the same list back home.
Fishing For Fishies has also come in at #10 on the Independent Albums chart, #22 on the Alternative Albums chart and #43 on the Rock Albums chart.
The multiple chart placings has also helped King Gizzard climb the Emerging Artists list to place at #14, alongside big names like Lauv, Mabel and Splendour 2019 act, Catfish & The Bottlemen.
Meanwhile, Sydney's Hillsong United have charted on the Top 200 list at #2 with their live album, People, as well at #1 on the Top Album Sales chart.
King Gizzard will return to Australia in June for a string of headline shows; head over to theGuide for more details.
