Sony Music Entertainment Australia has teamed up with Aussie hip hop maestro and Koolism member Hau Latukefu to launch a new imprint.
The joint venture, Forever Ever, will see Latukefu – who has a solid solo career and collaborated with Hilltop Hoods, Urthboy, Hermitude and more - mentor up-and-coming hip hop artists with his more than 20 years of experience.
“For over 20 years, Hau has consistently shown that he is at the forefront of Hip-Hop on a local and international level,” Sony Music’s Denis Handlin said.
“We’re very proud to be working with someone of his standing in the community and know that together, we look forward to developing the exceptional Australian talent we have here.”
Latukefu said: “I’m truly grateful to Denis Handlin and the entire Sony Music team for providing belief in the vision for a much-needed platform for the amazing talent we have in this country.”
“I feel that it’s important for me to support and guide great new Australian talent, it’s a responsibility.”
Latukefu has also been triple j’s Hip Hop Show presenter since 2008.
