Kingdom Sounds, one of Sydney's most reputable booking agencies, has this week announced the addition of Home nightclub and The Crescent Amphitheatre, home to the Sydney leg of FOMO Festival
Kingdom Sounds founder Steve Sewell described the Darling Harbour multi-level venue as "a booking agent's dream".
"There's a high demand right now for large-capacity venues, particularly ones happy to nurture electronic music, and Home takes the crown here – coupled with its amazing location, the possibilities that can be afforded by its versatile layout, and its rich history of gigs," Sewell said.
In the past, the venue has played host to the likes of Chemical Brothers, Skrillex and Disclosure.
The signing follows reports that police were called to Home over 150 times in the past two years in relation to drug incidents and assaults.
Meanwhile, Sewell said the team are looking to "triple the amount of events" at The Crescent Amphitheatre in Parramatta, which also stages an annual Australia Day concert.
"What initially drew us to the venue was its incredible stage; and its scale – there's no other natural amphitheatre of its size in Sydney," Sewell said.
"I've been to events at The Crescent before and the energy is incredible."
He continues, "We will bring energy, passion and excitement to this venue, and explore the diversity and versatility of events that can be held here."
Empire Of The Sun, Flosstradamus and Peking Duk were just a few names to play at the venue in support of FOMO this year.
Other names to have played at The Crescent Amphitheatre includes John Farnham, Midnight Oil and You Am I.
