THE MARK OF CAIN
'TOUR OF DUTY' 2015

The Mark Of Cain return to active service this November / December with their 2015 'Tour Of Duty'. The tour follows the bands return to live performance in 2013 following a seven year sabbatical from touring and an eleven year hiatus from recording via the release of the fifth album (and their fifth classic) Songs Of The Third And Fifth.

There’s not a dull moment in the 80-minute set and every song is delivered with raw, no bullshit intensity and power. Battlesick is amazing, the repetitive and hypnotic droning bass propelling the song as John Scott spits out the lyrics and Green smacks the hell out of his kit. LMA is both compelling and melancholy, and a scorching rendition of Point Man provides an awesome end to the show. - INPRESS MELBOURNE

The 2015 tour takes in the usual hot spots: Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth plus the band's first visit to Geelong in this century! The tour will also feature a two night mid-week residency at Adelaide's Enigma Bar with all proceeds going to Cancer Council South Australia. TMOC bassist Kim Scott explains: Having lost family members, friends and work colleagues to cancer in the past, I thought it was time to personally do something about cancer - not only to raise awareness, but also to do something directly to help fund cancer research. As everyone knows, cancer doesn’t discriminate and we are all potentially only a doctors appointment away from hearing those life changing words. In January 2016, I will ride with the Beat Cancer Tour team at the Tour Down Under - it allows me to combine my passion for cycling with raising funds for the Cancer Council SA, who do an outstanding job in converting every dollar that is donated to four dollars of research.

Expect to hear material from right across the band's 26 year recorded history, a history that has included collaborations and Australian firsts with Steve Albini, Henry Rollins, Franz Treichler, (The Young Gods), John Stanier (Helmet, Battles), Andy Gill (Gang Of Four) and more.
