FESTIVAL
THIS THAT Festival

THIS THAT is poised to be the next big thing for Newcastle; today announcing a stellar line-up to match an already innovative festival idea that's ricocheting throughout the city and surrounds. THIS STAGE & THAT STAGE will host a 16-strong collective of unparalleled artists alongside a hand picked array of primo eats, plus craft beers and other delectable beverages.

It's a festival for the discerning music fan, the foodie fiend and the fancy beverage baller. It's THIS THAT and THE OTHER, a locally curated, boutique market across a whole day in the sunshine at Newcastle's iconic beachside Foreshore greenspace.

Leading the charge, Sydney's RUFUS make their long awaited return to the festival scene, following their 2014 ARIA nominated & AIR Award winning album ATLAS. They're sure to satisfy the most dance-hungry revellers with a live version of their latest single 'You Were Right' as well as hits 'Take Me' and 'Desert Night' amongst other sure-fire bangers.

Putting their 'Anchor' down on the Newcastle Foreshore, BIRDS OF TOKYO bring their distinctive rock vibe to THIS THAT for a guaranteed singalong set from their swiftly growing catalogue of hits. Make sure you bring along your bucket hats and prepare to get loose: buzz band of the moment, STICKY FINGERS return after a short hiatus, back for one of their first shows on home soil since traversing the globe for most of 2015.

Heading offshore for a minute, THIS THAT's international quota is filled by New York trap and bass prodigy BAAUER who will be jet-setting down under to lay down his trademark party starters. Plus legendary Aussies THE JUNGLE GIANTS & THE KITE STRING TANGLE, TKAY MAIDZA, CARMADA and ASTA will all make appearances. And a festival line-up wouldn't be complete without a triple j Unearthed winner spot and THIS THAT gives one lucky band the chance to play alongside some of the best.

Music is best served with a dose of tasty food. THIS THAT embraces the Aussie foodie revolution and brings it to the masses. Culinary delights are carefully constructed by local niche restaurants and the best of Sydney's internationally renowned food trucks make the trek north for the occasion.

And finally, THIS THAT is complete with THE OTHER. Dabbling in the weird and wonderful, THIS THAT hosts an artisan market that would put Etsy to shame. Curated by those in the know at The Follower and the team from Hunt & Gather - Newcastle's leading boutique, designer markets - stalls will bring like-minded individuals together to share carefully crafted creative wares for curious collectors. Plus artisan performances and interactivity will open the mind and warm the soul. Expose, inspire, excite, ignite.

General release tickets are on sale 9am, Thursday 6 August, however THIS THAT loves trendsetters, so super-eager-early-adopters will be rewarded with special priced first dibs tickets as part of a Members Pre-Sale from 9am on Tuesday 4 August. Signing up for the info at www.thisthat.com.au is a must.

For those that are a cut above the rest, a special ALL THAT VIP ticket package is also available, giving a limited number of extra spesh punters express entry to lounge about in their very own Mainstage viewing area. Boasting a scrumptious food menu created by Masterchef winner Andy Allen, fancy toilets, a cocktail menu by the local whiz kids at The Koutetsu and a craft beer selection to rival all others that have ever come before.
