SUB A+ARI KNIVES are a 3 piece, Organic/Electronic band from Melbourne, established in May 2011.

Far from new to the game, all three members cut their teeth in earlier known acts: Nick Adams in MAMMAL, Ben Ellingworth in MM9 & Hugo Tremayne in K- OSCILLATE. Between them, they have played every major festival in the country, including; BIG DAY OUT, PYRAMID ROCK, HOMEBAKE, COME TOGETHER & GROOVIN THE MOO.

Sub Atari Knives music invents outside of the all-too-comfortable and safe worlds of genre classification. Their sonics blast and blend though spheres of what they have dubbed 'silo styles'; hard-and-heavy hitting vibrations, with live electronic formations that spirally track in and out of shifting spaces.

After releasing their first single 'DTX' in late 2011, Sub Atari Knives began gigging (Playing both "Showdown" & "Rock the Bay" festivals, as well as headline shows in Melbourne and Sydney) and quickly earned themselves a strong reputation as a must- see live band that combines a mega high-energy stage performance with a signature mapped projection show, to create an explosion of rockstep-beats on a bouncing dancefloor.

Following the releasing of their self produced debut EP (self titled) in Oct 2012 - mixed and mastered by Forrester Savell (Karnivool, Birds of Tokyo, Cog, Helmet, Dead Letter Circus,& The Butterfly Effect) - Sub Atari Knives will hit the road for their headline tour in January!
